Thank you for attending ICSS-Asia 2009!

In this conference, we brought together academics, researchers and funding agencies to openly discuss each other’s efforts on sustainable development, as well as to initiate talks for developing potential projects toward this end. I believe we were successful in these aims.

During the two-day conference, we were privileged to hear interesting presentations that were full of local experiences and knowledge. Because of these, our awareness about the situation of our Asian neighbors has been raised. We also had many chances to interact with our colleagues, to exchange ideas and learn from each others’ experiences.

These wouldn’t have been possible without your full cooperation. I thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge, and for raising sharp questions and inquiries. Besides gaining knowledge, I also hope that through ICSS-Asia, new working relationships were established among us, and that more innovative and collaborative projects will be developed in the future. I thank you for your continued support in our efforts towards a sustainable society. As we go back to our own work, let us continue this advocacy and be the change that we want to see in this world. Thank you once again for your participation.
